Crypto Integration Platform
Integration platform for crypto, a multi-exchange crypto trading platform
My Role I led the design of the Xerosum Trading Hub, an integration platform spanning multiple blockchains and exchanges, from the project’s inception in November 2021. Until February 2023, I focused on evolving the product and addressing user pain points related to investment and discovery experiences. Early user and stakeholder feedback highlighted key challenges, which we addressed through continuous iteration—testing, refining, and validating improvements. This process shaped the development of Xerosum, enhancing the entire user journey from browsing and discovery to trading and portfolio management.
The Process
We began the process with a lean UX approach, starting with assumptions provided by stakeholders. After aligning on a direction, we developed a rough prototype to validate the idea with users. This resource-efficient method helped us refine and clarify our direction early on. I led the product through the entire design process, effectively communicating milestones and presenting work to secure buy-in from product and the development team.
Proto-Persona
At the early stage of the project, we conducted a Proto-persona exercise. Although we didn’t follow the traditional double diamond process, we maximized our user research efforts as much as possible. We started internally with our team and people around us—an easy and accessible first step—allowing us to gather valuable insights without compromising UX research. This approach also helped us generate user stories, features, and functions that align with real user needs.
Early research is crucial in keeping us on track with our users and ensuring our solutions stay relevant to the market. Most importantly, this process fostered team engagement and alignment, making collaboration more effective.
Ideation / Design Process
1.Mind Map
Based on the Proto-Persona we committed two types of user may how to use our service, we immediately generate a lot of idea which we might provided , includes practical, imaginative ideas and ideas with the most long-term impact through Mind map.

2.Affinity Map
We organized ideas from our brainstorming session on an affinity map to identify priorities and define a clear, actionable scope. For our first MVP, we focused on trading integration as a quick way to test feasibility and gather feedback.

3. User Task Flow
I designed a user flow for two user types, outlined the typical steps they follow to complete two common tasks on the platform.
a. Less experience user
Link their first wallet address and API
Browse the asset allocation
Choose their staking plan suit for them
Back to see the asset overview

b. Expert user
Create their own trading bot and browser others bots
Allocate assets to perpetual futures in multiple exchanges
Trade in different exchanges with one click

Information Architecture

Lo-Fi Sketches
To quickly gather feedback and communicate with the team, I sketched multiple screens of the idea to test feasibility and ensure the idea was practical for development and implementation

Prototype

Validate
I created a detailed animated prototype to help the team conduct a cognitive walkthrough, focusing on ease of use from the user's perspective at an early design stage. This approach was both cost-effective and practical for evaluating the rationality and completeness of the user interface. Based on the cognitive walkthrough, we refined key details for the Portfolio page and Trading View.
